On June 13, 2025, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (HASiL) released technical updates to the MyInvois API documentation and e-invoice issuance requirements to improve system functionality and data accuracy.
API updates
The Search Document API has been updated to allow a higher volume of results. The maximum number of documents that can be returned in a single query has been increased from the previous limit to 10,000 items.
Other technical changes
Effective immediately, state code ‘00’ is no longer permitted for e-invoice issuance via the API or Batch Upload methods. Taxpayers and system integrators are advised to consult the latest Software Development Kit (SDK) for the full list of valid state codes to ensure successful submission and validation of e-invoices.
